Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg is Poet Laureate of Kansas and the author of ten books in print or forthcoming, including her new collection of poetry, Landed, and her forthcoming memoir, The Sky Begins at Your Feet. She teaches and leads writing workshops for many populations, including writing and singing workshops with singer Kelley Hunt. Other titles include two edited works, My Tree Called Life: Writing and Living Through Serious Illness and The Power of Words (with Janet Tallman); Sandra Cisneros: Latina Writer and Activist; Animals in the House; Write Where You Are; Circle of Women, Circle of Words; Reading the Body; and Lot’s Wife.
This event will feature music by Gib Shell.
