What is RSS?
RSS stands for "RDF Site Summary" or "Rich Site Summary" or "Really Simple Syndication" depending on different sources or opinions. In a nut shell, it is an XML-based format for distributing and aggregating Web content.

Using RSS, Web content providers can easily create and disseminate feeds of data that include, for example, news links, headlines, and summaries. See Technology at Harvard Law for more info. blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss

Here's an example, of course it will take the look of your web site using your style sheet.

Roll your own

Need an RSS parser? They can be freely obtained on the web.

For your web site try MagpieRSS, RSS Feeds via JavaScript or take you're pick from hebig.org. We're using RSS Feeds via JavaScript, example above, which in turn uses MagpieRSS itself.

For your browser, if you're using Mozilla Firefox ( it's free, it fast, and it ain't IE ), you can add one of the RSS parsers for it from the Extensions Screen. We're using the Sage is a lightweight RSS and Atom feed aggregator extension. All very, very sweet. Give it a try!

Looking for more RSS Feeds? There's Syndic8.
