One of the oldest cities in Missouri, Liberty offers a charming downtown square, five local historic districts, three museums, and many buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.

Liberty offers an abundance of recreational and cultural opportunities at the Liberty Community Center and Performing Arts Theater, the annual Spring on the Square Festival and the Fall Festival, and more than 300 acres of park land that includes trails, spraygrounds, tennis courts, playgrounds and more. The Fountain Bluff Sports Complex opened in 2002 offering a four-plex baseball area, five-plex softball fields, six soccer fields, and two miles of walking trails.
